Welcome to the website of the capri280 Group!
The capri280 Group is for fans and past present and future owners of Ford’s final limited edition Capri.
We originally started as a Facebook page which rapidly grew with over 100 members in the first 24 hours worldwide. Currently we have members in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and throughout Europe. We hope to grow further by means of this website.
Our Facebook group is heading towards 650 members currently with many taking the annual membership fee option with all the benefits it brings!

What we offer as a Club
We have meetings during the year at Capri Club International and various Classic car show‘s both in the UK and Europe.
The group regularly display at the Practical Classics Restoration Show in March and the Lancaster Insurance Classic Car Show in November at the NEC Birmingham and hope to exhibit at this and similar prestigious events in future.
We have available through members a vast range of spare parts many new old stock Genuine Ford Capri parts, 280’s for sale, a renovation service, Group clothing and regalia and much more.
As we grow our aim is to offer more to our membership. To be able to provide a one stop shop for all capri280 owners requirements.
Ford capri280
The Final Capri model ending 18 years of production was Ford Motor Co farewell to a car that sold near 2 million models.
Originally intended to be 500 cars called Capri 500 plans were changed and it became the Capri 280 of which 1038 were produced at the Niehl factory in Koln, Germany during December ending on the 18/19 December 1986.
The 280 has the largest survival percentage of the various models of the Capri, we have a Register of more than half of the 280‘s produced that still exist.
It is arguably the most sought after model of Capri today with pristine cars selling for in excess of £50,000.

Want to become a member of the proactive group for capri280 owners and fans?
Annual membership of the Group is only £25.00 per year. Due to rising costs and in an endeavour to enable the Group to progress members voted overwhelmingly to increase the Group annual membership fee to £25,00 this will be from April 1st 2024!
In return receive A uniquely numbered membership card. By quoting a valid membership number this entitles you to an exclusive discount structure.
Our specialist Insurance company Abbeyfields will give a special member discount on insurance taken out by quoting your capri280 Group membership number.
Your membership number will also entitle you to a discounted price on Group regalia items and also parts for your Capri 280.
We hope to be able to offer further special deals in future to group members. Current discounts for members include a range of tailored indoor and outdoor car covers
All this for just £25.00 a year.
